Label Shabel LLP ("Label Shabel", "we", "us") operates labelshabel.com (the "Site"). This policy explains what personal data we collect, why we collect it, who we share it with, and the rights you have under applicable Indian law, including the Digital Personal Data Protection Act, 2023 (DPDP Act). By using the Site you consent to the collection and use of your data as described here. This Privacy Policy is incorporated into and subject to our Terms of Service. We may update this policy from time to time - the latest version will always be published on this page.

What we collect

  • Order & contact details: your name, email address, phone number, billing and shipping address, and demographic details you choose to provide.
  • Personalisation details: names, initials, class details, photographs or other content you provide to be printed on your products (this may include your child's name where you order children's products - we use it only to produce your order).
  • Payment information: payments are processed securely by our payment provider. We do not store your card, UPI or bank details.
  • Usage data: device, browser, IP address and browsing information collected through cookies and similar technologies. We use your IP address to help diagnose problems, administer the Site, and gather broad demographic information; it may also be processed to determine your location for currency display, stored in a temporary session cookie.
  • Your information may occasionally reach us via another contact in your organisation or a third party who we believe has informed you that your details may be provided to us. We do not normally collect or store information deemed to be "sensitive information".

How we use your data

  • To process, produce, dispatch and deliver your orders and communicate with you about them (for example, dispatch notifications).
  • To respond to enquiries, provide customer support, resolve disputes, troubleshoot problems and collect payments.
  • To send marketing communications - offers, new products and updates - where you have opted in; you can unsubscribe at any time using the link in any email.
  • To measure interest in our products, customise your experience, and analyse and improve our website and advertising.
  • To detect and protect against error, fraud and other criminal activity, and to enforce our terms.

Who we share it with

We share personal data only with service providers who need it to serve you: Shopify Inc. (our ecommerce platform - data may be stored on Shopify infrastructure located outside India, including the United States), our payment providers and financial institutions, courier and postal partners (delivery), Google (analytics and advertising), Meta (advertising) and Judge.me (product reviews). We do not sell your personal data. Information may be disclosed to law-enforcement authorities in the event of unlawful transactions or where required by law. If Label Shabel merges with, is acquired by, or reorganises into another business entity, personal information may be transferred to that entity, which will be required to honour this policy. The Site contains links to other websites - we are not responsible for their privacy practices and encourage you to read their policies.

Cookies

Cookies are small pieces of information stored by your browser. We place both permanent and temporary (session) cookies to run the shopping cart, checkout and login, remember preferences, and for analytics and advertising measurement (Google Analytics and Meta Pixel). Our own cookies do not contain personally identifiable information. You can manage cookies through your browser settings, but cookies must be enabled to shop online on the Site.

Data retention & security

We retain personal data only as long as needed for the purposes above or as required by law (for example, sales records for tax purposes). Information no longer needed is deleted or de-identified. The Site uses Secure Sockets Layer (SSL) encryption for transactions, our servers are accessible only to authorised personnel, and information is shared internally on a need-to-know basis. If you close your account, some information may remain in archival records as required by law. While we take all reasonable physical, electronic and managerial precautions, no transmission over the internet can be guaranteed absolutely secure and any transmission is at your own risk.

Your rights

Under the DPDP Act you may request access to, correction of, or erasure of your personal data, withdraw consent, and nominate a person to exercise your rights. To exercise any right, or for any grievance, contact our Grievance Officer at grievances@labelshabel.com. We will acknowledge and respond within the timelines prescribed by applicable law.
